Lights, Camera, Action!! 

The moment you walk in the door at metrochurch (in fact – even as you’re walking towards the building) you’ll hear the vibrant, funky sounds of our worship band giving their all to make your experience of church unforgettable. 

With a team of contemporary trained musicians and singers and an arsenal of production personnel to back them up with multiple camera angles and multi media screens and intelligent lighting – the worship times are exceptional! 

The sense of the presence of God at metrochurch services is unmistakeable – not because of the wonderful talent and gifts of our creative arts team, but because there is an expectation in every meeting – that God will (and does) show up and that we greatly value and appreciate His love and goodness. 

The Creative Arts team, under the leadership of Pastor Michael Battersby – himself a professional musician and accredited music educator -  have been an active voice in the area of arts and worship in Perth since the church began in 1988. 

Here are a few important resources and opportunities that the Creative Arts Department provides

• Weekly Worship Team training
• Youth Band
• Albums – Live Congregation worship CDs and Jazz/Gospel CDs
• Worship Conferences
• ONE nights – Entire worship teams from different churches all over Perth join together for a night of training, impartation and fellowship.
• Just Worship – A huge once a year evening of uninterrupted praise and worship. Guests have included André Crouch, Phil Driscoll, Alvin Slaughter, Darlene Zschech, Reuben Morgan, Marty Sampson and the Parachute Band
